Agri, Turkey, 1980 | The Turkish town of Agri is situated in Eastern Anatolia and the province is extending to the Iranian border. Not far from the city is Mount Agri (Ararat), and this snowcapped dormant volcano is the famous biblical Mount Ararat, the legendary site of the second beginning of the world. I have always been fascinated by light, and this beam in a local cafe couldn’t go unnoticed. Taken in the summer of 1980.
