Gujarat, India, 1977 | Gujarat is one of the least developed states in India, and had very little tourism around the time I visited in December 1977. On my travels around the Indian subcontinent I always like to stop in local tea shops to watch people [and think about life]. By placing my camera on the table and taking the prism off I could not only photograph from a different angle, but also photograph much more inconspicuously.
