Lhandruk, Nepal, 1979 | This photograph was taken in May 1979 in the small village of Lhandruk north of Pokhara, Nepal. A Nepali friend and I were staying in a local guest house, and this girl peeped through the staircase to the sleeping area upstairs. Lhandruk is about two days leisurely walk from Pokhara, on the eastern side of the valley leading up to the Annapurna Base Camp.
