Friendship Highway, Tibet, 2002 | In September 2002 I travelled overland from Kathmandu, Nepal to Lhasa in Tibet. The journey took five days, enough time to stop and meet local people. Whenever the jeep made a stop, people popped up from middle of nowhere. Always keen to be photographed, but unfortunately begging has become somewhat of a problem, especially among younger children. © Arne Walderhaug
